Privacy Statement

This Privacy Statement applies to data collection and usage for TargetGov sites and services.

Collection and Use of Information

When you register to become a TargetGov Preferred Client, sign up to receive our newsletters, or purchase services or products, we may ask for your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, company name, type of business, gender, and country to establish a Subscriber profile (“Profile Information”). We use Profile Information to improve our marketing and promotional efforts and statistically analyze site usage and the content and offerings on the Site. We may also use Profile Information for market research purposes and to generate aggregate reports on purchasing trends, interests, and behavior.

When you purchase any service or product online from TargetGov, we will ask you to provide the following information, name, company name, email address, credit card type, credit card number, credit card expiration date, name on card, billing address, city, state, country, zip code and phone number.

We use your e-mail address, and, if necessary, your mailing address, phone, or fax number, to contact you when necessary to clarify or confirm the information you have submitted.

When you come to the Site, we also automatically track your IP address, the type and version of the browser you are using, your operating system, and the URL you just came from. We use your IP address to help troubleshoot, track performance and Site usage, and help improve Site design.

We may also request additional information for online surveys, identification verification, contests, sweepstakes, etc. We will be required by law to disclose the name of the winner of a contest, giveaway, or sweepstakes offered on this Site to any person or entity that requests such information. The pages on the Site through which we collect such information include a link to this Privacy Statement.

If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, or if other Subscribers or third parties send us correspondence about your activities on the Site, we may collect such information in a specific file for you.

We will not disclose, sell, or exchange your personally identifiable information (name and email address) to or with anyone, without your approval. The only circumstances under which personally identifiable information about our users will be shared in a manner inconsistent with that stated above is if we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with the law or legal process, protect or defend the rights or property of TargetGov, its parent, licensors or subscribers; respond to claims that the content of any communication on the TargetGov system violates the rights of others; enforce this Privacy Statement, the User Agreement or other legal rights of TargetGov or its parent or licensors.

Communication from Us

We may use the Profile Information we collect to occasionally notify you via e-mail through our newsletter about new offerings from us and special offers we think you might find useful.  Our emails may be about new features, success stories and best practices, participating companies, and other newsworthy information. Although this information is not critical for the successful use of our services, we believe it will enhance the value you realize from our services and products.  You have the option to decline these email alerts by notifying us at the following address:  subscriber@targetgov.com or unsubscribing directly on the email.

As mentioned above, we may have to contact you to confirm the information submitted. Additionally, a Customer Service representative may follow up with a call after an inquiry is submitted, or after signing up to ensure you are satisfied with the services and products.

Security

Transmission of information over the Internet cannot be guaranteed 100% secure. However, we place a high premium on security and privacy. We use encryption to protect user financial information. The technology running the Site resides in a secure co-location facility. All of our employees are made aware of our security policies and practices, and any changes or updates thereto. We periodically review our security policies and procedures and update them as necessary to ensure the protection of user information obtained via the Site.

By accepting the User Agreement, you expressly consent to the collection and use of the above-described information by us. This Privacy Statement is incorporated in and subject to the terms of our User Agreement.

Updates/Changes

TargetGov will occasionally update or modify this Privacy Statement.  Any changes will be posted to this Site so that you will always know what information we gather and how it will be used.  You should periodically review this Privacy Statement.
