Federal Contracting Expert, Gloria Larkin, will be speaking at the 2015 APTAC Spring Training Conference. She will be discussing the topic Why and How to Use Sources Sought Notices and RFIs as a Business Advantage.

Some say change is the only certainty in life.  One thing is certain: Change happens all the time in government contracting.  Budget cuts and government realignments trigger, in turn, new priorities, policies, and acquisition strategies.  Keeping a hand on the pulse of every new emphasis in government is an important part of the job of the nation’s business community – and the people who give businesses advice about the pursuit of government contract opportunities.  What do they need to know?

APTAC represents more than 95 procurement technical assistance centers (PTACs) across the country.  Collectively, PTACs employ 600 procurement counselors who work with literally tens of thousands of businesses, providing them – daily – with insights and counseling on how to best identify, compete for, and win government contracts.  The long-standing challenge for PTACs is to find ways to deliver more service, reach more business clients, and better contribute to their clients’ increased success.  In order to succeed, PTAC counselors want and need up-to-the-minute information about changes in government regulations, policies and initiatives.  If PTACs are to continue to contribute to the recovery of our nation’s economy, they must remain laser-focused on the imperatives of today’s public contracting.

Gloria Larkin is delighted to address this year’s APTAC Spring Training Conference.
